DEO reports peaceful polling in Hyderabad district

The polling in Hyderabad district ended peacefully, according to the District Election Officer, Ronald Rose. The process was supervised by Returning Officers and other election officials for Hyderabad and Secunderabad Parliament constituencies, as well as Secunderabad Cantonment Assembly constituencies. Some technical issues with Electronic Voting Machines were quickly resolved.

DEO visited polling stations at Rafah-e-Aam School and Hari Bowli to inspect the process. Monitoring was done through webcasting from the control room at the District Election Officer’s office. There are a total of 45,91,201 voters in the district spread across 3,986 polling centers.

Hyderabad parliamentary constituency has 22,17,905 voters in 1,944 polling centers, while Secunderabad parliamentary constituency has 21,20,401 voters in 1,810 centers. Secunderabad Cantonment by-election has 2,53,706 voters in 232 centers. The voter turnout was 39.17% for Hyderabad, 42.48% for Secunderabad, and 47.88% for Secunderabad Cantonment.

After polling, staff safely transported EVMs to reception centers with sector officers. In the evening, Ronald Rose and his family voted at Venkateswara Fine Arts College polling center in Madhapur.
