The BRS party said that upper caste Congress leaders insulted Deputy CM Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and Minister Konda Surekha at Yadadri temple. BRS party leaders held a press conference in Hyderabad and accused CM A Revanth Reddy of making them sit on the floor while the CM’s wife sat on a chair next to the Deputy CM.
They questioned who Dalit people should turn to for help if even a Dalit leader like Vikramarka faces disrespect at a temple. The BRS party claimed that Dalits have been mistreated by the Congress party since independence, and accused the government of removing Vikramarka’s images from advertisements.
They demanded an apology from CM Revanth Reddy for the incident.
