The Ganesh Navaratri celebrations in Kagaznagar ended with a grand procession for the immersion of Lord Ganesha idols. Throughout the town and surrounding villages, devotees gathered, led by Vinayaka Mandap committees, as they marched to the beat of drums and enjoyed traditional dances and cultural shows.
Before immersing the idols, special prayers and rituals were held at the places where the idols had been worshipped for nine days. The idols, beautifully decorated, were placed on adorned vehicles and moved towards Pedda Vaagu for immersion.
The local municipality ensured everything was well-prepared at the immersion site. The entire town and villages came alive with children, youth, and women eagerly participating in dances and kolatams during the processions.
MLC Dande Vittal, MLA Dr. Palvai Harish Babu, former MLA Koneru Konappa, and BSP State General Secretary Dr. R.S. Praveen Kumar set up camps along the procession paths. They prayed for the idols and handed out prasadam to the devotees.
For everyone’s safety, the district police enforced strong security measures and maintained strict vigilance throughout the town and mandal to ensure smooth and peaceful proceedings.
