The Telangana State Government has finally provided a job to Karnati Ramakrishna, a differently-abled individual, after a long battle since 2007.
In December 2023, Ramakrishna submitted his request at the Praja Darbar. The government then appointed him to the Panchayat Raj Department, fulfilling a promise that had been pending for years. “My fight for justice spanned 18 years,” said Ramakrishna, recalling the time when his father, Nageswara Rao, passed away in 2007 while working in the same department in Kothagudem division. At that time, Ramakrishna was 21, living with his mother Karnati Rani and younger brother Koteswara Rao. Despite meeting all criteria, his applications were repeatedly denied due to his disability.
In 2013, a tribunal ruled in his favor, yet he still didn’t receive the job. However, during the Praja Darbar held by the Telangana Government in December 2023, he submitted his plea once more. CM Revanth Reddy and the CMO officials reviewed his case and brought it to the notice of Panchayat Raj Minister Seethakka. Following her instructions, senior officials appointed him as an Office Subordinate in Mulakalapalli Mandal, Bhadradri Kothagudem District.
After enduring 18 years of struggle, Ramakrishna expressed his gratitude, saying that hope has been restored to his family. He thanked CM Revanth Reddy, Minister Seethakka, and the Telangana People’s Government for finally providing justice and a brighter future.
