    Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister, DK Shivakumar, has clarified that a letter circulating on social media urging Foxconn to relocate from Hyderabad to Bengaluru is fake. He stated that an FIR has been lodged at the Cybercrime Police Station regarding this matter.
    The alleged two-page letter, addressed to Young Lu, Chairman of Hon Hai Precision Industry (Foxconn Technology Group), suggests that the government proposes relocating the Apple Airpods industry from Hyderabad to Bengaluru. The letter highlights the benefits of this move, including complementing the Apple phone manufacturing industry, utilizing the city’s transportation facilities, infrastructure, and available workforce. It also mentions that being located in Bangalore would enhance Foxconn’s international recognition. The letter further states that several international industries in Hyderabad have shown interest in relocating to Bengaluru, and a friendly government in Telangana is expected soon, ensuring no hindrances for Foxconn’s move.
