Cyberabad police Commissioner Avinash Mohanty has banned the operation of remotely controlled drones, paragliders, and micro-light aircraft in the area of Dundigal police station during Prime Minister Narender Modi’s visit.

Anyone who breaks this ban will face punishment under the law. The Union Ministry of Home Affairs had warned in 2019 that terrorist and anti-social groups could use these devices for attacks.

The commissioner mentioned a growing trend of using drones for aerial views during events. The Ministry recommended that police in states and union territories should prohibit flying these devices near important locations.
