The Rachakonda Narcotics Police Station team of EAGLE Force Telangana intercepted a major ganja transit operation on 11 July 2026 near Mahaveer Harina Vanasthali National Park in Auto Nagar, Hyderabad. Acting on credible intelligence from a reliable source, the team conducted a coordinated operation with assistance from the Regional Narcotics Control Cell (RNCC), Khammam. During the operation, authorities checked a bus belonging to Baba Bholonath transport service and apprehended three individuals while seizing 41.01 kilograms of ganja.
During interrogation, the apprehended individuals revealed they were employees of a transport company and their duties included driving and assisting with bus operations. The bus was registered in Odisha, and the accused explained their presence in Hyderabad was connected to transporting goods on behalf of their employer. The individuals admitted to working in coordination with an associate based in Odisha and had agreed to transport the contraband material to Hyderabad on a commission basis.
The seized contraband was discovered in two bags containing approximately 41 kilograms of ganja, which had been transported from Odisha to Hyderabad. At the time of apprehension, the material was awaiting delivery to a contact known to their Odisha-based associate. The entire consignment, along with the three accused, was taken into custody for further investigation and appropriate legal proceedings.
Further investigation into the case has revealed that accused Nubin of Malkangiri and an unknown receiver from Hyderabad are currently absconding. Law enforcement authorities are actively pursuing leads to track down these individuals who played key roles in the ganja trafficking network. The investigation has exposed a well-organized supply chain involving multiple parties across state borders.
A case has been registered under Cr.No.10/2026 at the Rachakonda Narcotics Police Station of EAGLE Force Telangana. The authorities are continuing their investigation to uncover the complete network involved in this interstate drug trafficking operation. The seized contraband and the arrested individuals are being processed according to legal procedures.
The successful interception demonstrates the effectiveness of intelligence-based operations and inter-departmental coordination between the Rachakonda Narcotics Police Station and the Regional Narcotics Control Cell. EAGLE Force Telangana continues to maintain strict vigilance against drug trafficking activities across the state, particularly monitoring transit routes used for transporting contraband materials from neighboring states.
