Hyderabad: The EAGLE team from Cyberabad police took action against pubs and night venues in Hi-tech City. They arrested several customers who tested positive for drug use.
Police reported that they arrested eight people at Quake Arena Pub in Kondapur. The raid happened during a concert by Ukrainian DJ Arbats. Out of 14 people tested, eight were found using drugs.
In recent operations, police arrested 27 individuals in drug-related incidents. This included 17 drug users, five of whom were foreign nationals. Officers seized 68 grams of cocaine, 50.5 grams of MDMA, and 382 kilograms of ganja.
On December 19, police caught two dealers at Troop Bazaar near Masab Tank. They discovered that actress Rakul Preet Singh’s brother frequently bought drugs from them.
This was the second time Amanpreet was linked to drug activities. Last year, he was involved with a drug group in the Narsingi area. Tests confirmed his drug use. Authorities plan to continue these operations through the New Year weekend to ensure safe celebrations in Hyderabad’s party areas.
