Telangana Education Minister P Sabitha Indra Reddy has instructed education department officials to organize promotions and transfers of teachers according to a court order. In a meeting with officials, Reddy emphasized the need for transparency and clear guidelines in the process. The responsibility of filling teacher vacancies has been given to the District Selection Committee (DSC) to prevent any complications. The DSC was first conducted in 2017 to fill 8,972 posts. A total of 5,089 vacant teaching positions and 1,523 special education teacher positions in government schools will be filled.

During the meeting, the Education Minister also urged officials to personally inform eligible teachers about promotion and transfer opportunities. To ensure a smooth online process, precautions will be taken by TS online officials to avoid technical issues. Additionally, supervisors will be appointed in each district to oversee the promotions and transfers.
