Gadwal: Ramachandra Reddy, once the head of the BJP Jogulamba Gadwal District, has strongly criticized MLC Challa Venkata Rami Reddy. He claims the MLC ignores the needs of Alampur constituency.

After examining a waterlogged area in Gajulapeta that looked like a small lake post-rain, Ramachandra Reddy spoke to reporters. He accused the MLC of spending his time in Hyderabad or Kurnool, neglecting local concerns. Kompati Bhagat Reddy, the Ayija BJP Town President, led this inspection.

Reddy highlighted many issues in the constituency: broken roads and bridges, villages turning into lakes after rainfall, struggling cotton farmers, and unfinished projects like the 100-bed hospital and Tumilla (Mallamma Kunta) reservoir. Other pending works include the Chinonpalli link, Nettempadu package-99, and the connection of RDS at Vemula. Despite repeated requests, authorities have not acted.

Local Congress leaders, Reddy said, mockingly ask residents if they even voted for them. He noted that the MLC’s chosen candidates received support in 2004, 2009, 2014, and 2023, yet the MLC rarely visits or listens to public issues, only appearing during election times.

Reddy questioned, “Why vote for you if you don’t help when needed?” He warned that voters would remember this in the next local elections, impacting both the BRS and Congress.

Attendees included Zilla Parishad Member Pradeep Kumar, Ayija Town Vice-President Bellamkonda Nagaraju, OBC Morcha Ayija Town President Venkatesh, Telugu Narsimhulu, Gadiga Raghu, and local residents.
