Hyderabad: The State Forest Department has confirmed that tree removal for road expansion has received necessary approvals. They addressed concerns from an article titled ‘Indiscriminate Tree Felling in Shamshabad Raises Concerns’ featured in The Hans India on September 4. Officials explained that the Forest Divisional Officer in Shamshabad handled the file. After getting the green light from the Tree Protection Committee, the Forest Divisional Officer, Shamshabad, granted permission via Rc.No.948/2025/SB5, dated August 19, 2025. This approval is for cutting and relocating trees to widen the road from Gollapally N.H. Junction to ORR Service Road at Pedda Golconda in Shamshabad.
