Konda Lakshma Reddy, a former MLA from Chevella, passed away today. He had been receiving treatment at Apollo Hospital in Hyderabad and died at 5:30 am. The funeral will be held at Mahaprasthanam at 3 pm.
Reddy was a prominent Congress leader and the grandson of former Deputy CM Konda Venkata Ranga Reddy. He had a long political career and competed in elections in Hyderabad in 1999 and 2014.
Apart from politics, Reddy had a deep passion for journalism. He launched his news agency, NSS, in 1980. He also served as president of the Jubilee Hills Journalists Cooperative and the Press Club Hyderabad.
