The Ambassador of France to India, H.E. Mr Thierry Mathou, inaugurated the “Bureau de France in Hyderabad” on Wednesday, 27th March, 2024 at T-Hub. The ceremony was attended by various dignitaries including the CEO of T-Hub Hyderabad, the Consul General of France in Bangalore, and the Minister for Information Technology, Electronics, Communications, Industries and Commerce of Telangana.
The decision to establish the Bureau de France in Hyderabad and a Consulate General of India in Marseille was announced by the President of France and the Prime Minister of India in July 2023 and reaffirmed during President Macron’s visit to India in January 2024.
The Bureau de France in Hyderabad is an extension of the Consulate General of France in Bangalore, covering Karnataka, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh. It is located at T-Hub, known as the largest innovation campus globally. T-Hub has supported thousands of startups and innovation programs, emphasizing its commitment to entrepreneurial success. France aims to strengthen connections with Telangana’s innovation ecosystem through this Bureau.
The Bureau de France will offer consular support to French citizens in Telangana and promote business ties in sectors like space, technology, and industry. The Ambassador of France expressed pride in inaugurating the Bureau and highlighted the potential for Indo-French collaboration in innovation.
T-Hub’s CEO welcomed the collaboration with France as a significant step towards enhancing innovation and collaboration between the two countries. Telangana’s favorable policies for foreign investments and skilled workforce make it an attractive destination for French companies.
