The Telangana Gazetted Officers’ Association has asked Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari to address issues with the payment of officials who worked during the Lok Sabha elections. The association also presented other requests in a meeting with the CS.
Some of the demands included getting rid of the contributory pension scheme, bringing back the old pension system, and establishing a health scheme for employees with equal contributions from both employees and pensioners. They also asked for pending DA payments to be released, special permission for retiring employees in May to be promoted, and the ban on employee transfers from 2018 to be lifted.
In addition, they requested that bills stuck in the Finance department be processed promptly, that 144 positions originally allocated to AP be reassigned to Telangana after the state’s division, and that additional positions be created for new districts. They also asked for land for house-sites in Gopanpally to be allocated, for Ranga Reddy district collectorate employees to receive 24% HRA, and for an increase in IR from 5% to 20%.
The association’s leadership team, including the general secretary A Satyanarayana, associate president Shyam, joint secretary Parameshwar Reddy, and members MV Ramana, Kishan, and Vijaya Lakshmi, were present during the meeting with the CS.
