The tallest statue of Ambedkar was unveiled in Hyderabad, which made Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar proud. He said it was a proud moment for not only Telangana but for the whole country. Meanwhile, Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy garlanded Ambedkar’s bronze statue at Suryapet and described him as a symbol of knowledge and intelligence. He also said that the Constitution written by Ambedkar is a safeguard for the country.
Former MP Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy visited the village under Singareni mandal in Khammam district and consoled fire accident victims. He handed over Rs 50,000 each from his pocket and expressed anger at the incident. In Warangal, Chief Whip D Vinay Bhaskar said that the provisions laid down in the Indian Constitution allowed the creation of separate Telangana. He referred to Article 3 of the Indian Constitution that empowers Parliament to the formation of new States.
Lastly, on the occasion of Dr. BR Ambedkar Jayanthi, the girls of Chocolate Kids School in Karimnagar set a new world record by eloquently reciting the Preamble of the Constitution of India.
