Cotton farmers in the Palamuru region of Mahabubnagar are currently facing a challenging situation due to the sharp decline in cotton prices over the past two months. With stocks of cotton at home, they are hoping for prices to increase to a more profitable level.
Meanwhile, thousands of devotees from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh gathered at the Sri Sita Ramachandra Swamy temple in Bhadrachalam and Sri Sita Ramachandra Swamy temple in Ellanthakunta of Karimnagar district to celebrate Sri Rama Navami. The celebrations included the performance of the celestial wedding of Lord Sri Rama with Sita and the Sitaram Kalyan Mahotsav.
Various temples across RangaReddy district also held the Sri Sitaram Kalyan Mahotsav to celebrate Sri Rama Navami. The festivities allowed devotees to offer their prayers, seek blessings, and foster a sense of community and devotion.
In Hyderabad, Health Minister T Harish Rao criticized the Centre for increasing the prices of life-saving medicines by 12 per cent, stating that it takes away healthcare from the poor and middle-class sections. He questioned whether this was ‘the real Amritkaal by the BJP government.’
