The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Standing Committee reviewed proposals on urban infrastructure and civic services at its 8th Ordinary Meeting on Saturday, October 3, 2026. The meeting took place at the GHMC Head Office.
Special Officer Jayesh Ranjan and GHMC Commissioner R. V. Karnan chaired the meeting. Members discussed proposals covering roads, transport, sports facilities, sanitation and other civic amenities across Hyderabad.
The committee reviewed proposals for BT and cement concrete (CC) road works in different parts of the city. It also discussed a high-level bridge on the 2BHK Injapur–Thorrur Road and junction improvements, including a bus bay, at Bandlaguda.
Another proposal concerns road development from NH-44 to Jalpally, along with the acquisition of properties affected by the work. The agenda also included a proposed steel flyover between Jubilee Hills and Muffakham Jah College.
For other traffic projects, the committee reviewed a revised proposal for the Aramgarh–Zoo Park grade separator and plans for multilevel flyovers at Owaisi Hospital and Bahadurpura Junction.
The agenda also covered a proposed increase in usage fees at Katedan Indoor Stadium and other GHMC sports facilities. Members discussed a corporate social responsibility (CSR) proposal to adopt, develop and maintain parks and hiking trails in Jubilee Hills, as well as sanitation measures and the implementation of government orders.
All Additional Commissioners, Zonal Commissioners and Heads of Departments attended the meeting, which was chaired by Special Officer Jayesh Ranjan and Commissioner R. V. Karnan.
