Government Increases Ration Dealers’ Commission by More Than 50%

The State government in Hyderabad has decided to increase the commission of ration dealers from Rs 900 to Rs 1,400 per metric tonne. The Finance Minister and Civil Supplies Minister announced this decision after discussions with ration dealers associations. This increase will benefit over 17,000 dealers in the State. The government has allocated Rs 139 crore for this purpose.

In addition, the meeting decided to allocate PDS shops to the family members of 100 ration dealers who died due to Covid. The PDS scheme benefits 91 lakh people in Telangana, with 35.56 lakh card holders and the distribution of 6 kg of rice.
