Hyderabad: Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy announced that the State government has fast-tracked the implementation of Phase-I of the Indiramma Indlu housing scheme. He assured that even if the Central government denies funding for the programme, the State is fully prepared to support it. The scheme aims to provide financial assistance to the poorest of the poor.

The Minister shared this information during a media briefing after a review meeting at the Secretariat. He stated that in the first week of January, the government will begin the screening process to identify beneficiaries from the pool of 80 lakh applicants. Phase-I will focus on selecting individuals living in absolute poverty. To ensure smooth implementation, the government has appointed project directors in all 33 districts.
