Hyderabad: The State government is planning to develop industrial clusters between the areas of ORR and upcoming RRR to promote uniform development and create employment opportunities. These clusters will complement the agricultural or raw material produced in each district.

Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka announced this initiative at a conference on Building a Competitive and Sustainable Telangana @2047 during the CII Telangana State Annual Meeting 2023-24. He mentioned that the government will focus on developing textiles, IT, dairy, and other clusters in the designated areas. Vikramarka criticized the previous government’s plan to establish Pharma City at a single location, stating that it would harm the environment.

Instead of Pharma City, the Congress government will establish 10 pharma villages with all necessary facilities. Vikramarka highlighted the cosmopolitan nature of Hyderabad and revealed plans to develop satellite townships for affordable housing, drawing inspiration from Kukatpally Housing Board. Additionally, he expressed the government’s commitment to rejuvenating the Musi River, following the example of the river Thames in London.
