Group-I candidates file court petition against exam assessment
Text Size: 100%

A group of more than 20 candidates for Telangana’s Group-I posts has filed a petition in the High Court. They are concerned about how their exam papers were assessed. The candidates claim that the Telangana Public Service Commission (TSPSC) and state authorities did not appoint qualified subject experts for evaluation. As a result, they believe the process lacked fairness and transparency.

During a hearing on Monday, Justice N Rajeshwar Rao directed officials to submit documents related to the assessment process. The judge has scheduled the next hearing for four weeks later.

The petitioners argue that the evaluation system was flawed and violated basic legal principles. They believe that assigning underqualified individuals to assess the papers made the process unfair. The candidates have requested the court to stop further steps in the selection process until a proper and just evaluation method is ensured.
