Heritage Day at Ramappa Celebrated with Cultural Programmes in Mulugu

On Tuesday, Palampet village in Mulugu district celebrated World Heritage Day at the Ramappa Temple, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The theme of the celebration was “Shilpam, Varnam, Krishnam – Celebrating Heritage.” The Department of Language and Culture, Telangana organized the day-long cultural programs, which saw the participation of 300 performers from different fields.

Tourism Minister V Srinivas Goud, Panchayat Raj Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao, Tribal Welfare Minister Satyavathi Rathod, and Chief Whip D Vinay Bhaskar were present at the event. Among the highlights were a food festival at Ramappa Lake, Violin Symphony by Aarabhi Institute of Performing Arts led by Ashok Gurjale, and Perini dance by Perini Rajkumar and team.

The event also featured performances by renowned artists such as music director SS Thaman, drummer Shivamani, singer Karthik, and flautist Naveen. The Balagam movie team also entertained the audience.

Other notable attendees included Mulugu MLA Seethakka, Greater Warangal Mayor Gundu Sudharani, Mulugu ZP chairman Kusuma Jagadish, Warangal ZP chairperson Gandra Jyothy, MP Pasunuri Dayakar, and Mulugu district collector V Krishna Aditya.
