The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) has warned against unauthorized opening of manholes in the city to prevent accidents during the rainy season. Safety measures such as fixing safety grills on manholes and sealing covers on main roads have been taken.
To tackle water-logging, Emergency Response Team (ERT) and Safety Protocol Team (SPT) vehicles have been deployed with necessary equipment. These teams work on maintaining drainage and removing waste from manholes. Residents are encouraged to report any issues with manhole covers by calling the Water Board customer care number 155313.
The Water Board is prepared for the monsoon season and is focused on ensuring safety and clear drainage in the city.
