A tragic incident occurred in Hyderabad, where a four-and-a-half-year-old boy lost his life after getting stuck in an apartment lift. The incident took place in Santosh Nagar Colony, Mehdipatnam.

The child, Surender, was the son of Shyam Bahadur, who worked as a security guard at the apartment. The family, originally from Nepal, had moved to Hyderabad seven months ago for better job opportunities. They were living in a small room next to the lift in a six-storey building that operates as a hostel.

On Wednesday night, around 10:30 pm, Surender was playing near the lift, which had collapsible doors. While trying to sneak inside, he got stuck between the doors.
