A police constable from Hyderabad was attacked by two men after he asked them not to drink alcohol in public. The incident happened on February 7 in Sri Krishna Nagar, Jubilee Hills.
T. Eshwar Rao, who works with the North Zone Task Force, was on his way home when he saw the two individuals drinking in the open. He requested them to stop and tried to take their pictures using his mobile phone.
The two intoxicated men got angry, snatched his phone, and assaulted him. Following the attack, the constable filed a complaint at the Jubilee Hills police station.
The police registered a case and arrested three suspects. According to Jubilee Hills police SHO K. Venkateshwar Reddy, Sai Teja (30) and Challa Rao (30) were later arrested and sent to judicial remand.
