Hyderabad experiences major disruption in vehicular traffic.

On Friday afternoon, the Telangana electricity employees conducted a “Maha Dharna” protest in front of the Vidyut Soudha head office in Hyderabad’s Khairatabad area. This caused a major disruption in vehicular traffic for a few hours, with heavy traffic congestion between Lakdi-ka-pool and Punjagutta stretch. The large number of employees gathered caused a standstill for hundreds of vehicles, including RTC buses, private vehicles, and two-wheelers. Even an ambulance got stuck in the traffic jam, but the police were alerted and provided it with a safe passage. Commuters faced a tough time reaching their destinations, and it took the police two hours to clear the traffic congestion.
