Hyderabad High Court Orders Police to Allow Hanuman Vijaya Yatra Rally with 100 Bikes on April 23

The Telangana High Court’s single bench of Justice Bollam Vijaysen Reddy directed the City Police Commissioner/DCP East Zone to allow the Bajrang Sena to conduct a rally/procession called “Hanuman Vijaya Yatra rally” on Hanuman Janmotsav on April 23 with 100 bikes. The rally will start from Hanuman Vyayamshala and end at Tadbund Hanuman Mandir in Secunderabad, passing through various areas.

The Judge specified that the rally must take place between 10 am and 12 noon and should not include any DJ system or political speeches. If any conditions are violated, the police have the authority to take action. The route map for the rally includes specific locations such as Ramkote, Narayanaguda, and Chikkadpally.

The court was handling a petition filed by N R Laxman Rao, president of Bajrang Sena, seeking permission for the rally. The petition was resolved with the court’s directives to the police authorities. In a separate case, the HC division bench issued notices to various government officials regarding illegal constructions in ponds and water bodies in Hyderabad.

The notices were issued in response to a news report highlighting the issue of landgrabbers building villas in water bodies, leading to ecological imbalances and threats to human life. The officials were directed to respond within four weeks regarding the steps taken to prevent such illegal constructions and protect water bodies. The HC converted the news report into a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) to address the critical issue.
