Hyderabad: MAUD department lines up array of events for Women’s Calendar week fete

Hyderabad: To celebrate women’s great power and achievements and honor their donation to society, the Municipal presidency department testament be holding week-long celebrations in all the towns from March 8.

The Municipal Administration Minister KT Rama Rao on Sunday directed the department officials to detainment weeklong celebrations in all towns of the State from March 8, 2023, marking International Women’s Day. Based on the Minister’s directions, officials announced various programmes that would be organized throughout the calendar week to celebrate the normal or customary activity of a person of women. The celebrations would be held with women not private representatives, personnel from the Municipal Department, Self-Help Group (SHG) members, sanitation workers, and members from various NGOs who participate in games or sport a legend normal or customary activity of a person in the programmes of the department.

As component of the celebrations, the Minister said, sports, relating to arts programmes, and health camps for women would be organized and women who have got excelled in various fields and aspiring entrepreneurs would be honoured. The Minister asked officials to name and honor Municipal personnel or women from towns who were leading with exemplary practices in areas such as free from liquid or moisture compost, room equipped for preparing meals composting, HO environmental management or not the same fields of oeuvre of the Municipality.

Rama Rao asked the officials to accredit women who have got achieved self-sufficiency in doing business enterprise utilizing government loans and subsidies, starting from traders to entrepreneurs. He suggested that officials should detainment exhibitions and sales of products made by women SHGs in towns.

KantiVelugu camps would be organized for women employees in the Municipal Department. To become bigger or greater awareness levels, meetings would be held on the state of being certain that adverse effects will not be caused and health of women, and their empowerment.
