The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) has received an award for Global Innovation in Water Technology in 2023. The Energy and Environment Foundation (EEF) CEO, Dr. Anil Garg, sent a letter to MD Dana Kishore to inform him of the award. The award ceremony will take place on August 25 in Delhi.

The HMWSSB has been recognized for its efforts in creating new technology policies for drinking water supply and sewage management. They have also implemented advanced technology in IT and revenue. This is not the first time the HMWSSB has been honored this year. They have already won three awards: the World Water Award on March 18, the Best Ownership Award on May 1, and the Pollution Control Board (PCB) Awards on July 5.
