The Special Crime Team of CCS, Hyderabad has successfully busted a banned Chinese Manjha racket operating in the city. The operation led to the apprehension of five persons involved in the illegal trade of the dangerous kite string. Authorities seized 155 Monofil Gold Chinese Manjha bobbins that were intended for illegal sale at high prices during the kite-flying season.

The accused individuals have been handed over to the concerned police stations for further legal action and investigation. The Hyderabad City Police conducted this operation as part of their ongoing surveillance against the sale and distribution of banned materials that pose serious threats to public safety. The seized manjha bobbins were being prepared for distribution across various parts of the city ahead of the festive season when kite flying is popular.

Chinese Manjha is a synthetic kite string coated with glass powder and other sharp materials, making it extremely dangerous to both humans and birds. The string has been responsible for numerous accidents, including severe injuries to people, particularly those riding two-wheelers, and has caused fatal injuries to birds. Due to these hazards, the sale and use of Chinese Manjha are strictly prohibited under law.

The police have issued a public advisory warning citizens about the dangers associated with Chinese Manjha. The authorities emphasized that its sale and use remain strictly prohibited throughout Telangana. Citizens have been urged to report any instances of illegal sale or use of the banned string to the nearest police station or through the city police helpline.

The Hyderabad City Police have stated they are maintaining strict surveillance across the city to prevent the illegal trade of Chinese Manjha. Officials have warned that stern action will be taken against violators found selling, purchasing, or using the banned material. The police have intensified their monitoring efforts, particularly in areas known for kite-flying activities and markets where such products are typically sold.
