Hyderabad: From March 1 to March 7, the Hyderabad Traffic Police ran a special drive focusing on drivers without valid licenses. They issued 1,940 fines to offenders.
Driving without a license is a major violation, according to police, and offenders face penalties under the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988. Police stress that unlicensed drivers pose risks not just to themselves but to everyone on the road. They urge parents and vehicle owners to prevent minors and unlicensed individuals from driving to avoid severe legal issues.
In accidents, if a driver lacks a valid license, insurance claims might be denied. This leaves vehicle owners to cover all costs for damages, medical bills, or compensation to victims.
The Hyderabad Traffic Police plans to continue these checks for public safety. They remind all drivers to carry a valid license and adhere to traffic laws.
