V.C. Sajjanar, the new Commissioner of Police in Hyderabad City, visited Madannapet Police Station on Monday. This marked his first official visit since assuming his role.
During his visit, he assessed ongoing cases, the law and order situation, and how the station operates. He also spoke with the police staff and reviewed records to ensure everything runs smoothly.
Sajjanar emphasized the idea of “People Welfare Policing.” This approach prioritizes serving citizens, ensuring the safety of women and children, tackling cybercrime, using AI in policing, and focusing on the well-being of police officers.
He advised officers to treat every complainant with respect and to register cases quickly, especially those concerning women. He urged for transparent and timely investigations.
Sajjanar also met Azeemuddin Farooq, the father of murder victim Sumayya. Azeemuddin thanked him for the swift investigation and the arrest of the suspect.
The Commissioner checked on public safety by visiting sensitive locations, police pickets, and CCTV installations, while also speaking with local residents.
