In an official statement, Commissioner Sajjanar emphasized that criminal cases will be registered against perpetrators under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Specifically, authorities will invoke Sections 221, 132, and 121(1) of the BNS against those found guilty of attacking government employees during their official duties.

The police department will also open history sheets against offenders, which could have serious long-term consequences for their future. This measure aims to maintain a record of individuals involved in such criminal activities.

Commissioner Sajjanar warned citizens about the severe repercussions of such actions. He stated that once a criminal case is registered, it could darken an individual’s future prospects significantly. The criminal record will create obstacles in obtaining a passport and securing government employment opportunities.

The commissioner cautioned that even a momentary lapse in judgment driven by anger could have lifelong consequences. He stressed that citizens should think carefully before taking any action that could be construed as obstructing or attacking government officials.

The warning specifically mentions police officers, teachers, and RTC staff who regularly interact with the public and occasionally face hostile situations. These employees are essential for the smooth functioning of government services and public welfare.

The Hyderabad Police have made it clear that they will not tolerate any form of violence or obstruction against government officials. The department is committed to ensuring that all government employees can perform their duties without fear of threats or physical harm.

Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar reiterated that citizens should remember the long-term impact of criminal cases on their lives, including difficulties in passport issuance and government job applications, urging them to avoid actions that could permanently damage their future prospects.
