Hyderabad: HYDRA officials conducted a major demolition drive in the Khajaguda lake buffer zone near Raidurgam. The operation targeted illegal structures spread across four acres of land after receiving complaints from local residents.

The team, under tight police security, dismantled fencing erected in the buffer zone and removed more than 20 unauthorized shops. The focus of the drive was on encroachments near Bhagirathamma Cheruvu, a local water body affected by illegal construction activities.

Officials stated that the demolition was carried out to address concerns raised by locals about unauthorized buildings harming the lake’s ecological balance. HYDRA highlighted its commitment to protecting public resources and ensuring compliance with zoning laws.
