A significant development has emerged in the ongoing investigation of I-Bomma administrator Imandi Ravi. Police have uncovered evidence suggesting that Ravi fraudulently obtained a PAN card and driving licence using the identity of another person named Prahlad Vellela.
During initial police questioning, Imandi Ravi claimed that Prahlad Vellela was his former roommate. However, subsequent investigations revealed a different story that points to potential identity theft.
Police authorities summoned Prahlad Vellela from Bengaluru to verify Ravi’s claims. In a face-to-face confrontation with the accused, who is currently in custody, Prahlad made startling revelations about the alleged fraud.
Prahlad told investigating officers that he had no knowledge of Imandi Ravi or any connection with him. He expressed shock upon learning that someone had been using his personal information to obtain official documents.
“I don’t know who Imandi Ravi is. I was shocked to learn that Ravi took a PAN card and driving licence using my name,” Prahlad reportedly stated during his questioning.
Prahlad Vellela currently works as a software professional in Bengaluru. His profession and location suggest he had no involvement in the I-Bomma operations or any association with the accused administrator.
Investigating authorities now suspect that Ravi may have stolen Prahlad’s documents to create false identities. This tactic is often used by individuals involved in illegal activities to evade law enforcement and conceal their true identities.
The use of fraudulent documents adds another layer of complexity to the case against the I-Bomma administrator. Identity theft is a serious criminal offense under Indian law, and these allegations could result in additional charges against Ravi.
Police are continuing their investigation to determine how Ravi obtained Prahlad’s personal documents and whether other individuals’ identities were similarly compromised. Authorities are examining all documents and credentials associated with the accused to uncover the full extent of the alleged fraud.
The investigation into the I-Bomma case continues as police work to build a comprehensive case against Imandi Ravi and any potential associates involved in the operation.
