Telangana is set to experience severe cold wave conditions for the next 2-3 days, with weather patterns resembling those typically seen in North India during winter months.

The state is currently witnessing a sharp decline in temperatures, accompanied by hazy skies and morning fog across various districts. Meteorological experts attribute these conditions to the complete absence of wind movement in the region.

The Air Quality Index (AQI) is expected to remain in the very poor category throughout Telangana due to nil wind conditions. The stagnant air is trapping pollutants close to the ground, leading to reduced visibility and deteriorating air quality across urban and rural areas alike.

Residents are experiencing a notable drop in day temperatures, with the cold wave intensifying during night hours. The weather pattern is causing significant discomfort, particularly during early morning and late evening hours when temperatures dip to their lowest.

The morning fog has been affecting visibility on roads, prompting authorities to advise caution for commuters and drivers. The foggy conditions are expected to persist through the current cold spell, with mornings being particularly affected.

Weather officials have noted that the current atmospheric conditions in Telangana mirror those typically observed in northern states during peak winter. The combination of low temperatures, poor air quality, and minimal wind movement has created an unusual weather scenario for the region.

The cold wave is impacting daily life across the state, with residents taking extra precautions to protect themselves from the harsh weather. Vulnerable groups, including children and elderly citizens, are being advised to stay indoors during peak cold hours.

However, there is positive news on the horizon. Weather forecasters predict that relief from the cold wave is expected to arrive after January 1. The atmospheric conditions are likely to improve as wind patterns change, bringing an end to the current spell of extreme cold.

Until then, residents of Telangana are advised to take necessary precautions, including wearing warm clothing, avoiding outdoor activities during early morning hours, and staying hydrated despite the cold weather.

The next 3 days are expected to remain challenging as the cold wave persists, with no immediate respite in sight until the New Year arrives.
