The GTA Mega Convention 2025 has begun with much fanfare in Hyderabad. Managed by the Global Telangana Association (GTA), this event aims to unite people from Telangana living across the globe. The convention is taking place at the Akshaya Convention Center in the Finance District over two days, on December 27 and 28.
On the first day, the event commenced with blessings from Tridandi Chinna Jeeyar Swamy. Notable attendees included Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy, Minister Vivek Venkatswamy, MLC Balmuri Venkat, MP Chamal Kiran Kumar Reddy, and former ministers Mallareddy, G. Jagadish Reddy, and Srinivas Goud. Former MLAs Guvvala Balaraju and Bollam Mallayya Yadav were also present. The convention saw participation from thousands of delegates representing over 30 countries.
Alumalla Mallareddy, GTA Founder and Global Chairman, stated that this event serves as more than just a convention. It is a platform to connect the skills, resources, and experiences of the Telangana diaspora worldwide with the state’s development.
The organizing team played a crucial role in the success of this mega event. Viseshwar Reddy Kalvala, GTA USA Founder Chairman, Srinivas Reddy Paduri, India President, President-elect Kankanala Abhishek Reddy, Advisory Chair Pratap Reddy Pendyala, Co-founder Shravan Reddy Paduru, USA President Praveen Reddy, and Washington President Ramu Mundrati were key contributors.
Cultural and entertainment activities were a major highlight of the program. Over 100 artists showcased Telangana’s folk and classical art forms. Performances by Mangli in a live musical night, singer Mohana Bhogaraju, and the Aha Indian Idol Grand Entertainment Show brought enthusiasm to the convention. Guests were treated to 35 different traditional Telangana dishes. The “GTA Fashion Show 2025” creatively displayed Telangana’s cultural heritage.
On December 28, discussions on real estate, startups, NRI legal issues, and health innovations will take place through masterclasses and panel discussions. Under the “Telangana Rising 2047” vision, extensive talks on state development, global partnerships, and investment opportunities are planned.
The convention will conclude with the presentation of Lifetime Achievement Awards, the swearing-in of new GTA leadership, and a grand live concert on the final evening.
