YS Sharmila’s Daughter, YS Anjili Reddy, To Get Married On November 25 At YELAHANKA Palace in Bengaluru.
A personal letter dated 09 October 2026 and signed by YS Jaganmohan Reddy has surfaced. It is addressed to “Sharmi” and concerns the wedding of Anjili. The letter is on plain paper. It carries no letterhead, department name, reference number or GO number.
The letter begins on a warm note. The writer says he is “very glad to hear about Anjili’s wedding.” He adds, “Despite all that has transpired over the past 7 years, I sincerely wish her a lifetime of happiness and love.”
The writer then objects to the wedding being held at “my Bangalore residence.” He says that holding the event in the premises where he stays would pose serious security concerns. According to the letter, he conveyed this “through various people.” He writes that he was hurt that the plan went ahead despite his disapproval.
The letter lists the people who would enter the property for a wedding:
- Service providers and catering staff
- Flower and decoration teams
- Event management personnel
- Videographers and photographers
- Guests
The writer says most of these people are unknown to him. He also cites the circulation of videos and photographs of the premises and surrounding areas as a security and privacy risk. He writes that the decision “was not an easy one.” He says he has seen “Jili” grow up. He states, “Even if it were for Harsha or Varsha I would have done the same.” He adds, “At the end of the day, this is my home and I want to ensure that me and my family are safe here.”
The letter asks that another venue be found. It notes that a convention centre or a destination wedding venue was used for “Raja’s wedding.” The writer says his offer of the Hyderabad Lotus Pond property “still stands.” He closes by writing, “I truly wish for Jili’s wedding to be a special day that she looks back fondly on… but I ask that you also see things from my perspective on this matter.”
