Jupally announces upcoming excise policy changes in State

Excise minister Jupally Krishna Rao announced that a new excise policy is in the works for the State government. He also mentioned plans to revamp the entire department. The minister emphasized the government’s commitment to preventing black market activities related to liquor.

During a media interaction at Gandhi Bhavan, Rao criticized the previous government for not clearing bills associated with the Excise department. He highlighted the challenges faced by the Excise department due to the administration under the BRS government over the past decade. Rao defended the current Congress government’s efforts to address pending bills across various departments, including Excise.

Rao addressed concerns about beer shortages by attributing them to pending bills left by the previous administration. He clarified that the government is actively working to bring various departments back on track by settling outstanding bills. The minister assured that steps were being taken to ensure effective management of liquor sales and distribution to prevent illegal activities.
