Dr. Kadiyam Kavya, the BRS candidate for Warangal Lok Sabha, has decided to withdraw from the contest. She communicated her decision to the BRS chief through a letter. Kavya cited concerns about recent allegations of phone tapping, corruption, and a liquor scam involving party leaders.
The BRS had nominated Kavya to run for the Lok Sabha seat, replacing the current MP Pasunuri Dayakar. Kavya, who is the daughter of senior leader Kadiyam Srihari, expressed disappointment over the negative impact of corruption allegations and scandals on the party’s reputation.
In her statement, Kavya mentioned that the lack of unity among party leaders was contributing to significant losses for the party. She apologized to the party chief KCR and other members for her decision to withdraw from the election.
