New Delhi: A court in Delhi has summoned BRS MLC K Kavitha and three others to appear on June 3 in response to a chargesheet filed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). The ED and CBI have requested that bail be denied to Kavitha due to her influence and potential to tamper with evidence.

The chargesheet names Kavitha, Charan Preet Singh, Arvind Singh, and Prince Kumar as the accused. Kavitha was initially arrested by the ED on March 15 and later by the CBI under the now-defunct Delhi Liquor Policy. She will be brought to court through a production warrant. All accused individuals will be presented before the court.

According to the ED, Kavitha played a significant role in a bribery scheme involving Rs 100 crore. Half of this amount was allegedly demanded by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, with Kavitha arranging for this sum. The other half was reportedly being arranged by Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy.
