A peacock census was conducted at Kasu Brahmananda Reddy (KBR) National Park in Hyderabad. The Telangana Forest department, along with FCRI students, friends of the Snake Society, the World Wildlife Fund, Deccan Birders, NGOs, and KBR walkers, identified a total of 565 peacocks. The teams explored the 390-acre park and counted peacocks, peahens, and other bird species. CCF Charminar Saidulu, DFO Hyderabad M Joji, Forest Range Officer, and KBR Park staff were also present during the census.
