Warangal, April 27: In a fiery and emotional address at the BRS Party’s Silver Jubilee celebrations at Elkathurthi near Warangal, BRS President and former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) launched a scathing attack on the Congress, labeling it the “Villain No. 1” in the history of Telangana.

The event, marked by pride, reflection, and political aggression, saw KCR pay homage to the victims of the recent Pahalgam terror attack, leading the gathering in a minute’s silence.

KCR passionately recounted Telangana’s long and painful struggle under successive Congress regimes, accusing the party of repeated betrayals. “Congress didn’t betray Telangana once or twice, it systematically crushed our aspirations for decades,” KCR thundered. Comparing the love for Telangana to Lord Rama’s devotion to Ayodhya, he said, “For us, Telangana is not just land, it is our life, identity, and honor.”

    Highlighting BRS Achievements

Reflecting on the decade-long BRS rule, KCR listed key milestones achieved from 2014 to 2023:

Transforming Telangana from a drought-prone region to an agricultural powerhouse through projects like Kaleshwaram and Mission Bhagiratha.

Propelling IT exports to ₹2.5 lakh crore, positioning Telangana among India’s top tech hubs.

Empowering farmers with initiatives like Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bima, and free electricity. Launching the world’s largest synchronized rural development drive.

“Every inch of Telangana’s progress carries BRS’s imprint. We turned despair into prosperity,” KCR declared.

Sharp Attack on Congress and Current Government

KCR mocked Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi, accusing them of deceiving Telangana farmers with empty promises. “Where is the Rs 15,000 under Rythu Bandhu they promised? Farmers haven’t even seen Rs 1,500 yet,” he said, drawing massive applause.

He further exposed the ongoing “20% Commission Raj” under the Congress-led Telangana government, accusing it of rampant corruption where even contractors were forced to stage protests for pending payments. “What more evidence is needed of their open loot?” he questioned.

    Support for Social Media Warriors

KCR extended strong support to BRS’s social media volunteers, vowing to defend them against Congress’s alleged attempts to stifle dissent. “Our digital warriors are the voice of Telangana’s truth. BRS stands with you — politically, legally, and morally,” he asserted.

He also warned police officials acting under political pressure: “Write it in your diaries — BRS will rise again, and we will not forget.”

    National Issues and Final Call

Addressing national concerns, KCR condemned the BJP-led Centre’s “Operation Kagar” against Maoists, calling it a “massacre” and urging Prime Minister Narendra Modi to opt for dialogue over violence.

Concluding his speech, KCR made an emotional appeal to the people of Telangana to rise once again in defense of their state’s dignity and future.

“Congress is here to loot. We are here to build. Telangana must choose wisely,” he proclaimed.
