Hyderabad is preparing for the debut of the Hyderabad Pickleball League (HPL) this October. Kidambi Srikanth, a renowned badminton player and former World No.1 in men’s singles, has become an investor and partner for the Nandi Chargers, a franchise in the league. His involvement brings a high level of sports expertise and boosts the league’s profile.
Srikanth expressed his enthusiasm about joining the league. He believes pickleball is fast, exciting, and has the potential to engage Indian fans. He is eager to use his sports experience to elevate the league’s status. Being part of the league’s early stages is particularly significant to him, and he aims to lead the Nandi Chargers with passion and pride.
The league will consist of eight franchise teams, with matches scheduled every Friday night from October 10 to November 28. With Srikanth teaming up with Anirudh Ponnala, the Nandi Chargers are poised to be a thrilling team to watch this season.
