Komatireddy Holds KCR Responsible for Drought in District

Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy blamed the BRS government led by K Chandrashekar Rao for the drought in Nalgonda district, saying that if the SLBC tunnel works promised by KCR had been completed, the district would not be facing drought. He criticized the government for not allocating funds for the tunnel but spending a large amount on the Kaleswaram project.

Komatireddy assured the media that he would address the drinking water needs of Nalgonda town by bringing water from Panagal Udaya Samudram Reservoir. He also laid foundation stones for various development works in the town and announced plans to provide affordable meals to 25,000 people through ISKCON Akshaya Patra and his foundation.

The Minister discussed efforts to secure UNESCO recognition for the Chaya Someswara Temple and highlighted infrastructure projects sanctioned for Nalgonda’s development. He mentioned upcoming road expansion projects and funding allocated for them.

During his visit, Komatireddy was accompanied by local officials including Municipal Chairman Burri Srinivas Reddy, Vice Chairman Abbagoni Ramesh, and Town Congress President Gummala Mohan Reddy.
