KT Rama Rao, the working president of BRS, expressed concerns about the possibility of Hyderabad becoming a Union Territory after the ten-year joint capital agreement. He emphasized the need for more BRS MPs in Parliament to prevent this from happening.

Speaking at a meeting with party youth leaders and social media activists in Malkajgiri Lok Sabha, Rama Rao recalled how the BRS secured Telangana with five MPs in 2004, despite being initially mocked by leaders like TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu.

Rama Rao highlighted the importance of increasing BRS representation in Parliament to safeguard against any plans to make Hyderabad a Union Territory. He criticized the BJP for its alleged attempts to change the Constitution, remove reservations for SC, ST, and Minority groups, and manipulate constituency boundaries in South India.

The BRS leader also criticized the BJP’s lack of progress in the state compared to the State government’s construction of 35 flyovers. He accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of neglecting the middle class and diverting attention by promoting slogans like ‘Jai Sri Ram’. Rama Rao urged everyone to unite in support of ‘Jai Sri Ram’, ‘Jai Telangana’, and ‘Jai Bharat’.
