KTR participates in road show to uplift party morale

In Rangareddy, the BRS party faced a setback when several party councillors switched to Congress in Rajendranagar. To show support for their candidate who filed nomination, party president K T Rama Rao held a road show.

The Congress and BRS candidates filed their papers at the Returning Officer’s office in MRO Office Rajendranagar on Tuesday. Sitting MP Dr Gaddam Ranjith Reddy, who recently joined Congress, filed his nomination along with other party leaders. BRS candidate Kasani Gyaneshwar also filed his papers later in the day.

Thirteen candidates from different political backgrounds filed nominations on Tuesday, including independents and members of various parties like Social Justice Party of India and Blue India Party. BJP candidate K Vishweshwar Reddy had filed his nomination the day before.

During a rally to file the BRS candidate’s nomination, local MLA Prakash Goud accompanied party president KTR and former minister P Sabita Indra Reddy. Speculation arose about Prakash Goud joining Congress after being seen with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy multiple times.

Despite rumors of defection, Prakash Goud denies any plans to switch parties, stating that meetings with the CM were about constituency development. Many BRS leaders and councillors who joined Congress were reportedly unhappy with Prakash Goud’s leadership.

Rajendranagar, with the second highest number of voters in Chevella Lok Sabha segment, saw a display of political strength as BRS leaders and councillors shifted to Congress, indicating potential changes in party loyalties.
