Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao called the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) a family party of four crore people in Telangana, with Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao as the head. He responded to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s comment about the TRS being a family party during his visit to Mahbubnagar. KTR emphasized that KCR has taken care of the elderly by providing pensions, supported farmers with initiatives like Rythu Bandhu and Rythu Bheema, and is a member of every family in Telangana.

KTR accused Modi of cheating the people of Ramagundam by privatizing the Singerani coal mines through an auction. He claimed that the Prime Minister’s strategy is to push State-run companies into losses and then privatize them for the benefit of his corporate friends, such as Adani.

Refuting Modi’s statement about farm loan waivers in Telangana, KTR stated that the CM had waived farm loans twice and urged the PM not to make baseless comments. He also mentioned that people in India were referring to the PM as “Adani”. KTR expressed confidence that the BJP would not receive deposits in the upcoming State elections.

KTR criticized the Congress party, stating that he was unaware of their six guarantees but claimed that if they came to power, three things would be guaranteed: three-hour power supply per day, a change of CM every year, and numerous scams in the State. He pointed out that the Congress had only provided Rs 200 as pension for six decades, but now promises to give Rs 4,000 as pension. KTR emphasized that people are not ready to trust Congress leaders and their false promises.

Taking a dig at politicians from Congress and BJP visiting the State, KTR compared them to singers who visit households before the Sankranthi festival. He warned people to be cautious and not fall into their trap of false promises.

During his visit to Ramagundam, KTR highlighted the progress made in Telangana under KCR’s leadership in the last nine years. He mentioned that Peddapalli becoming headquarters has greatly benefited the people in accessing government services.
