Around 40 lakh voters from Andhra Pradesh live in Telangana, with 25 lakhs residing in Hyderabad alone. The BRS’s decision to remain neutral in the arrest of TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu has caused concern among pink party MLAs. Some MLAs participated in protests against Naidu’s arrest, hoping for a party stance. However, BRS working president KT Rama Rao dismissed the issue as a political fight between two parties and suggested protesting in Vijayawada or Rajamahendravaram instead. BRS leaders like D Sudheer Reddy and Telangana Assembly Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy criticized Naidu’s arrest. KTR has called a meeting of the campaign committee to discuss the Naidu issue.
