A farmer named Durga Venkati protested at the Farmers’ Platform in Rudrampur village, which is in the Chintalamanepalli mandal of the Komaram Bheem Asifabad district. Venkati locked up the platform during his protest, with support from local villagers.

Venkati said he had donated 0.10 acres of land for the platform. He explained that this land, identified by survey number 97/175/1/1/4, was given in the presence of government officials. When he donated the land, he was promised certain things in return.

One of the promises made to him was that his parents’ names would be written on a plaque at the Farmers’ Platform. He was also told that he would get a government job, and these promises were even written down on bond paper.

However, Venkati is now frustrated because none of these promises have been kept. His parents’ names are still not on the plaque, and although he has worked as an attender for four years, he has not been paid for his service.

Now, Venkati is demanding that the authorities keep their word. He wants his parents’ names to be inscribed on the plaque and the salary he is owed for his four years of work.
